Located in the heart of Herndon, VA, Amphora's Diner Deluxe is a culinary gem that masterfully blends American comfort food with vibrant Mediterranean and Greek flavors. This versatile restaurant offers an extensive menu that ranges from classic breakfast and brunch favorites to rich, authentic Greek dishes, making it a perfect destination for any meal of the day.

Whether you're settling in for a leisurely brunch or a lively dinner, the atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, paired with attentive, friendly service that instantly makes you feel at home.

The menu at Amphora's Diner Deluxe is an impressive fusion of hearty American staples and Mediterranean delights. Breakfast lovers will find it hard to resist the Baklava Pancakes, where the sweet, flaky layers of baklava meld with fluffy pancake batter, creating an irresistible marriage of textures and flavors. Another standout is the California Benedict, perfectly balancing poached eggs with creamy hollandaise and fresh, wholesome ingredients.

If you’re in the mood for something savory, the Mediterranean-inspired platters like the Gyro Platter and the Mediterranean Omelette serve up fresh, rich flavors of feta, kalamata olives, and herbs that truly capture the essence of Greek cuisine. The Chipotle Chicken Omelette and the Meatlover’s Omelette showcase hearty, bold profiles that are equally satisfying.

For lunch or dinner, their handcrafted burgers are a must-try. The Amphora Deluxe, with its juicy half-pound patty nestled in a house-baked bun, delivers remarkable comfort with every bite, while the Greek Burger transports your taste buds with its succulent beef, melted feta, and grilled onions — a wonderfully unique twist. Don’t miss the French dip sandwich, praised for being among the best in the area, with tender meat and flavorful jus that keeps you savoring each bite.

Dessert here is a delightful finale. The Chocolate Cake is decadently rich, and the Valentine Linzer Cookies add a touch of sweet charm. For a playful yet indulgent treat, the Baklava Pancakes reappear in dessert form, a true reflection of Amphora’s skill at blending traditions seamlessly.

Guests consistently highlight the generous portion sizes and the outstanding quality of both the food and service. Katherine Fulcher shared her enthusiasm for the Baklava Pancakes and the exceptional French dip sandwich, while Michelle Lawrence raved about the handmade French fries that are crispy and perfectly seasoned, alongside authentic house-made spanakopita.

Whether you're craving a comforting breakfast with a Mediterranean flair or a satisfying dinner that honors a spectrum of flavors and cultures, Amphora's Diner Deluxe invites you to indulge in an extraordinary dining experience. The thoughtful menu variety, combined with the joyous and attentive staff, culminates in a place that feels less like a restaurant and more like your favorite neighborhood gathering spot.

Just went here with my boyfriend after searching for a good diner and we were not disappointed! The service was very friendly and speedy. The breakfast items were delicious, so make sure you get the baklava pancakes!!!! I also got the French dip sandwich just to see how their lunch items were and I have to say it was the best one I've had around here! The serving sizes were very good and we had to grab a box to take the leftovers home. We are very excited to come back and try more of the menu! Definitely recommend!!!!

To be honest, I haven't had the privilege of eating here yet, but I am a delivery driver and was assigned an order here. Due to a common glitch in the service I used (can't say which, sorry, never a good idea to negatively identify your employer publicly) the order was received only seconds after my arrival so I had to wait a little. During that time I was lucky enough to watch several tables' trays of food brought out and WOW! The food presentation and the aroma almost had me floating through the air after them Looney Tunes style! I've spent years as a professional line cook, this nose KNOWS, and what the sheer heaven I smelled? Don't let the "Diner" in the name bring up associations of your typical greasy spoon or casual diner, either. This is a crystal wine glass level establishment with a diner theme. Amphora is spotlessly clean with an equally immaculately dressed (Think 50s soda jerk with the spotless white shirt and coat black bowtie) and well groomed staff! As a rough around the edges Texas redneck wearing 501s and a graphics tee I felt pretty out of place at first, but every single staff member that passed me by and saw me standing around asked me if I needed any help and just made me feel incredibly welcome, even after knowing I wasn't a paying customer. From the the host, to the servers, to the gentleman taking phone orders to the manager, everyone stopped to make sure I was being taken care of. Imagine how they'll treat you if you're actually paying them! Definitely taking my next date here to impress even if it's a little off the beaten path for me (35min) and a little pricey it's worth the trip. And don't miss out on their baked goods selection!

Very clean. 1920s art deco feel. Huge menu with Mediterranean and American fare. Portion sizes very generous. Went for dinner and ended up going back the next morning for breakfast as well. You can get breakfast all day and into the evening. Staff attentive. Will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

A very good restaurant with a delightful owner. It has most varied menu you will find anywhere! American, Italian, Greek, Mediterranean. Check the menu out on line. Had the “Island Hopper” with three geek specialties and all were excellent. Some of the best Greek food I’ve had. Be sure to try the warm Baklava you will not be disappointed

Trillian was a fabulous server. Kind and informative. We ordered the cheeseburger and Spanakopita. The French fries are the best I’ve eaten (and I normally don’t like fries). They are handmade. The spanakopita was house made and absolutely delicious. The cheeseburger was ordered by my friend and he said it was also perfectly cooked and also delicious. The manager and perhaps the chef came out to check on us and say hello (Fabulous customer service and it’s hard to find these days). I highly recommend stopping by for a bite. Oh, and we didn’t have a chance to have dessert, but they have a huge variety and they look delicious as well.

We couldn’t any better from Amphora and Xóchitl! Amphora came in clutch when our first vendor we thought we would go with didn’t pan out to be all that and having to book Amphora basically a month out from our wedding. She was able to answer back our emails and inquiring a quote EXTREMELY quick which we needed and everything was out of this world. From the moment we met Xóchitl and from when she arrived for our wedding we loved her being our caterer. She was so attentive to what our wants and needs were for the wedding and it was a flawless execution throughout the process. For anyone needed a cater for ANY event they should go to Amphora! The tenderloin and salmon options is our favorites among their menu at the time. We really thank you guys for giving us the most perfect experience for not only us but for our guests too! We loved it all

Both of the dishes there was plenty of food. The biscuit was so big and so delicious. Everything was good. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast.
